Continuing a trend we’ve witnessed all fall, two more stadiums have new checkout-free concession stands either already installed or on the way, according to company and team reports.
Amazon saw two different stadiums either announce or expand locations of stands using the company’s Just Walk Out technology, including Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena and Seattle’s Lumen Field. According to the Nashville Predators’ website, one Amazon store will be open for a game this week against the Colorado Avalanche, while a second store is planned to open early next year. The stores will also accept payment via the Amazon One system, which allows customers who sign up ahead of time to use their palms as payment identification.
At Lumen Field, Amazon said it will expand its presence from one initial store to a total of four, following a successful debut of its deployment there earlier this year. According to our unofficial totals, the new and announced stores gives Amazon a total of 29 stadium deployments. The four stores at Lumen Field matches the high of Amazon stores in any stadium with the crosstown Climate Pledge Arena.
